SULTAN SUMMER SHOW 06
Fantastic weather, gallons of Real Ale, a first rate BBQ and a great selection of Steam Engines contributed to a weekend to remember at this year’s Sultan Summer Show Steam Fayre. Over 20 different types of engines were on display and with an opportunity to ride on many it certainly will stay in the memory banks for some time.
Burrells, Avelings & Porter, Sentinels, Fodens and Fowlers were just a taste of what was on show. The weekend started on Thursday when the first of our guests arrived with most of the other engines arriving during Friday. The hospitality tent was in full swing during the evenings with Ringwood Real Ale getting a good hammering.
Our Sentinel carried over 500 guests on the back throughout the weekend with special guests of Nigel and Tracey from Credowan on Saturday and VIP Wave 105.2 Winners on Sunday to ride into the arena. Additionally this year all those who rode received a commemorative sticker.
Many thanks go to Jill Cohen for providing commentary whilst the engines paraded in the area and it is hoped that not too many drivers where offended!
